APEX Cartagena

APEX 2017 will take place during the weeks of May 22 and May 29 in Cartagena, Spain, with associated events in Murcia and Madrid. APEX is a collaboration between New York University’s Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) Program, the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) student chapter at NYU, and our partners in Spain: Memorias Celuloides,  Red de Cine Domestíco, the Archivo Municipal de Cartagena, and the Filmoteca Regional de Murcia. This year marks the fifth APEX organized by NYU students.

APEX 2017 se realizará las semanas del 22 de Mayo y el 29 de Mayo en Cartagena, España, con eventos asociados en Murcia y Madrid. APEX es un proyecto de colaboración entre el programa de Master en Preservación y Archivos de Imágenes en Movimiento (MIAP) de la Universidad de Nueva York, el Grupo Estudiantil de NYU de la Asociación de Archivistas de la Imagen en Movimiento (AMIA) y nuestros colaboradores en España: Memorias Celuloides, Red de Cine Domestíco, Archivo Municipal de Cartagena y la Filmoteca Regional de Murcia. Este es el quinto año que APEX es organizado por estudiantes.

Created in 1990 by Martin Scorsese, The Film Foundation (TFF) is dedicated to protecting and preserving motion picture history. By working in partnership with archives and studios, the foundation has helped to restore over 750 films, which are made accessible to the public through programming at festivals, museums, and educational institutions around the world.
